When is mediation appropriate?

Mediation can help to resolve conflicts you can no longer resolve yourselves:

Business conflicts
Workplace conflicts
Problems in cooperating as business partners
Succession conflicts

And also:

Arguments between neighbours
Landlord Tenant disputes
Inheritance or testament disputes
Conflicts between authorities and citizens

E-mediation

Mediation usually takes place at meetings with all the parties present.
Certain business disputes however can also be mediated online.

Mediation Rules and Code of Conduct

The Netherlands Mediation Institute (NMI) has set down Mediation Rules and a Code of Conduct for mediators.
